Lean Manufacturing Software Alone Is Not The Answer To What Ails Manufacturing Performance

For years, manufacturers have searched for ways to boost ailing production performance. From the promise of ERP, to Lean initiatives, Six Sigma and a plethora of other tips and techniques, manufacturers have become the experts at sizing up what works and, just as importantly, what doesn t. A couple of months ago, Invistics circulated a survey to some 1,500 pharmaceutical manufacturers about production performance and the techniques and technologies they ve used to break down barriers and achieve sustained results. Some of their responses were predictable; others surprising. For instance, you d be hard-pressed to find a pharmaceutical manufacturer who doesn t have an ERP system with millions sunk into license fees, implementation and maintenance, yet just a little over a third of these manufacturers feel their ERPs have produced the ROI they...

Asthma In Kids: An Increasing Epidemic

Many believe that the majority of asthma cases are confined to adults, but this is definitely an incorrect assumption. because asthma in kids has become increasingly common in the last 20 years. We are uncertain as to why this is so, but it is an undoubted fact that in the United States alone there are 5,000,000 children beneath the age of 18 who suffer from asthmic symptoms. In a recent study 2004 it was discovered that the 1 cause of absenteeism in school is asthma, accounting for a whopping 14,000,000 lost days in school. According to the American Lung Association, four million kids below the age of 18 had an asthma attack during this year. Anyone, at any age, can manifest asthmatic symptoms - even infants - but most often symptoms manifest themselves around the young age of five. Boys are more likely than girls to be sick in earlier childhood 2...

My Collection Of Sports Cards

I have never been too keen on collecting things. I am sort of a simple guy at heart, so I love having only what I need. I have one running collection, however, that only seems to get bigger as the years go on. Sports cards. I really love gathering, trading and owning sports cards. My love for sports cards began as a young child. My dad would reward me with sports cards when I did well at my chores or when I studied well for school. It was one of the only rewards he offered, and it quickly became the only reward that I was interested in. I remember the joy of buying my first binder to hold my sports cards in. I had saved my allowance for a couple of months and could finally buy the special sports cards holder that I had been looking at in the sports cards store. As I got older, I phased in and out of looking for new sports cards, but I continually...

How To Conduct A Link Campaign

To succeed with your website, it is important to setup a good link campaign. With search engines like Google, the quality of links you have will determine how your site ranks in the SERPs. Not only are links important for allowing your website to achieve high rankings, but it is also an important part of Google s algorithm. There are two types of links which can commonly be found on websites, and these are one-way links and reciprocal links. Getting reciprocal links is the most time consuming of the two. The webmaster will basically spend time contacting other webmasters to ask if they are willing to exchange links. When using reciprocal linking, a webmaster will typically only contact webmasters who have websites about the same topic. A mailing list will first have to be acquired. Once this is done, the webmaster will send out personalized emails...
